Top 5 Kids Cafes In Seoul

Top 5 Kids Cafes In Seoul

As I was growing up, one thing I really enjoyed doing was visiting indoor play centers. For me, they were a great source of fun, exercise, and mental stimulation. For my parents, it was a great way to get a few hours of relaxation while us kids played. Luckily enough, there are many kids cafes located in and around Seoul. Children, aging from 6 months to elementary, have a safe and fun space to learn and play. Many cafes offer a wide range of foods and drinks for the whole family, and staff members are happy enough to watch or play with the children while the parents enjoy their lunch. From my experience, usually, mothers visit with their friends, so while the kids play, the adults can have time to chit chat.

So if you’re looking for something to do while it’s cold or raining outside, look no further than kids cafes. They’re a great way to spend a few hours if the kids are in need of some entertainment. Check my list below to find the perfect one for you.

Tayo’s kids cafe revolves around the popular little blue bus, Tayo. The creators at Tayo’s kids cafe have combined one of Korea’s most popular animation characters, with unique playing facilities. Quoting their website, they describe the cafe as “ Self-directed playing facilities developed through careful analysis of children’s behavior and psychology.” Therefore, the creators have developed their facilities to encourage children to discover and learn through their own will, instead of following their parents. They have also taken into consideration the fact that children don’t stay interested for a long time. Knowing this, they have incorporated 10 different zones to keep your children entertained and always on the move.

Tayo’s kids cafe also has the parents in mind, arranging an open-type playing facility so they can easily keep an eye on their children. Tayo’s kids cafe also realises that safety is an incredibly important factor, that is why they have divided play spaces according to the children's age. They also provide nursing facilities for convenient use.

Millgarurang cafe is slightly different to the other kids cafes I have mentioned. The reason why is because this cafe focuses more on sensory experience, offering two-hour sessions with different courses. The first 40 minutes are made up of painting and dough play, the next 50 minutes are assigned to flour play and the last 30 minutes are for free play within the play zone. The cafe runs on a reservation system, which can be booked via phone or website, so the cafe is never too busy or crowded. It’s also possible to make a reservation on the same day. They also have assigned teachers, meaning the parents have time to relax, knowing their kids are in safe hands.
